相对于前两张《Children》和《Carved in Sand》那种受Led Zeppelin影响的舞台摇滚的音乐风格，《Masque》是个一百八十度的大转变。作为Wayne Hussey的个人专辑的失败的产物，也是第一张没有原主吉他手Simon Hinkler参与的专辑，《Masque》电子舞曲的走向使得一些老乐迷大失所望；但相反却得到乐评界的一致好评，它具有接近完美的制作和与前一张专辑类似的曲目编排，变幻的风格和试验色彩让它非常值得一听。
