雷耶尔先生开始给大家排练新的歌剧，在排练房里，当人们正忙碌而且紧张到了极点的时候，放置一旁的钢琴在没有人弹奏得情况下突然自己弹出了排练曲目。惊惶失措的克里斯提娜（Christine，剧中女主人公）夺路逃出，来到了父亲的墓地前，向墓碑上的父亲塑像诉说着自己的忧虑和恐慌，唱着这首《Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again》，希望能得到他的帮助。突然，魅影又出现在了她面前。魅影告诉她自己就是他父亲说的”Angel of Music“，就是来引导和保护她的。被过度惊吓的克里斯提娜再次被魅影迷惑住……
